Shana Telesz has been in the NDT industry for 18 years working in operations and product management roles for Waygate Technologies (formerly GE Inspection Technologies), world leader in advanced industrial inspection and NDT solutions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and management systems from West Virginia University based and is based in State College, PA.

Telesz has demonstrated success leading global organizations and product strategy with a customer-customer focused mindset. Her professional mission is to spend time listening to the biggest challenges faced by the front lines of the NDT industry from pipelines in Deadhorse, AK to MRO shops in many locations and segments. She has utilized this knowledge and experience to influence the development of technology-oriented NDT solutions to better the industry in terms of productivity, image quality and safety.

Telesz has been actively serving as a presenter and session chair at ASNT Digital Imaging and Fall Conferences on the advances in industrial radiography technology since 2007. She is a current member of the ASNT Council for Women in NDT. She is a strong advocate for women in industry and has held leadership roles in Women’s Networks in Technology and NDT since 2005. Telesz also had the opportunity to speak at other global industry events, including NDTMA, ISNT, BINDT, NDT user group meetings and additive manufacturing conferences representing NDT at RAPID, AMUG and Formnext as part of her global experience.

Telesz’s interest in serving on the ASNT Board of Directors stems from a desire to give back to the industry by helping to drive a better environment and awareness of a great career path for the next generation of NDT personnel. She is actively engaged in the career development of young talent in the industry and often serves as a mentor and guest speaker in career development forums. Telesz values strong-team and cross-function collaboration, processes and data-driven decisions while still reacting to ever-changing market dynamics and hopes to continue this with the ASNT community. She would also like to further represent equipment manufacturers perspective on the Board and understand how greater partnerships could be developed for the betterment of the industry.
